Non-DOT drug tests · order online
Drug tests, ordered online
One test today, or a testing program for your company. Collected at a Quest Diagnostics patient service center, reviewed by a medical review officer. Tests from $40.
All sales are final: no refunds.
Go to a Quest patient service center. Find one before you order: on Quest's location search, choose “Employer Drug and Alcohol”, enter your zip code and pick a site listed as “Quest Diagnostics.” If the only sites near you are marked “(Preferred),” call us at 901-666-6970 before you order.
Online orders are for pre-employment and other one-time tests. For random, post-accident or reasonable-suspicion testing, use an employer account.
If your school or employer names a specific testing company, use that company. Testing in Nevada, New York, New Jersey or Rhode Island: call us before you order.
All four tests include marijuana (THC). Several states limit marijuana testing of job applicants, including California, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Washington. Hiring there? Read marijuana testing laws by state or call us before you order.

Choosing a test
Which test do I need?
- If your employer or school names a test, order that one.
- If the job falls under DOT rules, the employer orders a DOT test. See Pact's DOT programs.
- If you're hiring where state law limits marijuana testing, call us first at 901-666-6970.
- Order the 5-panel with fentanyl when a program requires fentanyl.
- Order the drug test with alcohol when your policy tests for alcohol.
How it works
Four steps
- Order online. Secure checkout by Stripe. Enter the test taker's full legal name, exactly as on their photo ID, and date of birth.
- Get the donor pass. We register the order with Quest and email the donor pass, usually within one business day (Mon–Fri).
- Test at Quest. Bring the donor pass and a government-issued photo ID to a Quest patient service center. Nothing is paid at the site.
- Results. Reported to the test taker and to the employer or program named at checkout.
For companies
Testing more than one person?
Most companies test more than once: new hires, random draws, after an accident, when a supervisor has a reason. Pact runs that for you.
A testing program usually includes:
- A written drug and alcohol policy, signed by each employee.
- Tests for every reason: pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up.
- A random pool, kept current, with draws through the year.
- Medical review officer review of every result that isn't negative.
- One place to order tests and see results, with records ready for an audit.
- Supervisor training and employee education.
- A check against state law, especially on marijuana and random testing.
In Pact's portal you order tests for any reason, Pact keeps the random pool and makes the draws, every non-negative result goes to an MRO, and results and records stay in one place. The portal checks the state each person works in and tracks training.

How much is it?
$40 for the 5-panel or the 10-panel, $50 for the drug test with alcohol, and $89 for the 5-panel with fentanyl. You pay online by card. The price covers the urine collection at a Quest Diagnostics patient service center, the lab test and review by a medical review officer (MRO).
Can I get a refund?
No. All sales are final: there are no refunds once you pay.
What's the difference between the 5- and 10-panel?
The 10-panel adds five drug groups: barbiturates, benzodiazepines, methadone, methaqualone and propoxyphene. Both cost $40. 5-panel vs 10-panel.
Which test checks for fentanyl?
The 5-panel with fentanyl ($89). The other three tests don't check for fentanyl.
Does it test for alcohol?
Only the drug test with alcohol ($50). The lab checks the same urine sample for alcohol. The other three tests don't include alcohol.
Can I test without marijuana?
Not online yet. All four tests include marijuana (THC). Hiring where state law limits marijuana testing? Call us at 901-666-6970 before you order.
Can I order a random or post-accident test here?
No. Online orders go to Quest as pre-employment tests. For random, post-accident or reasonable-suspicion testing, use an employer account. It has no monthly fee, and the portal records the reason for each test.
What do I bring to the collection site?
Your donor pass (printed or on your phone) and a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, passport or military ID.
Do I need an appointment?
You can walk in, but Quest serves people with appointments first, so scheduling ahead saves waiting. Your donor pass email explains how. To find a site, use Quest's location search, choose "Employer Drug and Alcohol," and pick a site listed as "Quest Diagnostics."
Who gets the results?
The person tested, and the employer or program you name at checkout, if any.
What does the medical review officer do?
A laboratory result that isn't negative goes to a licensed physician, the medical review officer, who contacts the person tested to ask about prescriptions before the result is final. How MRO review works.
Is this a DOT drug test?
No. These are non-DOT tests for employers, programs and people outside federal Department of Transportation rules. If DOT rules cover the job, the employer must order a DOT test; see Pact's DOT programs.
How long do results take?
Most negative results are reported within a few business days after collection. A result that needs confirmation or MRO review takes longer.
Can an employer order a test for a job applicant?
Yes. Order it, put the applicant's legal name and date of birth in the checkout fields, and name your company to receive the result. We email the donor pass to you to pass along, or to the applicant if you ask.
Is there a price for employers who test often?
Yes. An employer account has no monthly fee and takes about five minutes to open. It adds random testing and the portal. Tests are $40 for a 5- or 10-panel, $50 for the drug test with alcohol, $89 for the 5-panel with fentanyl and $69 for an alcohol test on its own. Open an employer account or see employer programs.
